All the social media.

As some of you may have seen in my 'where else to find me' in the side bar I have added a Facebook page. Yes thats right i now have a Facebook page for all my work and updates. This will include updates in my Etsy shop, sketchbook work and daily adventures.

It is still early days for my Facebook page and I'm still getting used to posting things on there but I'm so excited for everything to get going! Keep your eyes peeled for exclusive codes for my shop or new work that I'm getting ready to sell! So please go and like my fledgling of a page and who knows where it could end up!

Original Screen Print

So recently i've really been getting back in to screen printing. Its the only way I'm able to see the end of a project at the moment. This leads me on to one of my projects for uni, you may remember my 'Kids in America' blog post in which this project was at its very beginnings. I was all caught up planning and deciding what i was going to create for my screen prints...eventually I got bored of this. In the end i had to just put the project aside and do something else. Yes. It got that bad.

I came back to the project a few weeks ago and have been full steam ahead ever since. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a few cheeky snaps but in the next few days i'll be uploading some of my favourites. I would be great to get some feedback on them and see what you guys think too! YOUR OPINION MATTERS!

INPRINT in Manchester

So last weekend I whisked off to Manchester with Victoria to sell goodies at another INPRINT (See the last one here). It was an early start, and i overslept. What a great start to the day. We were located in the cellar room of The Soup Kitchen, a modern cafe/restaurant by day and bar by night (as we saw from the left over pieces of lime!) This was definitely a much smaller fair than the one I had been too before, meaning we didn't sell as much. BUT we did have a good time together and may have bagged a table for another fair this winter....if they reply in time/ we can make everything for it!

Sorry for the lack of posts for a while. Uni work has been building up towards this final deadline on Monday! I'll be posting some new/finished work soon :)

Football Crazy

Recently I have been working on a live brief at university for Spiel. I have to create a series of posters for a football game for design creatives. So here are a few images of the work in progress and some of the first outcomes. These are only tests but so far i'm pretty happy with most of them.

I know what you did last weekend.

Last weekend a few friends and I shared a table at INPRINT Liverpool, and i have to say that it was a great experience. It was a busy day (and didn't help that i had caught a cold) and I ended up going to bed at 9pm but it was so worth it.

I met so many lovely people and managed to get some sort of experience of selling at these kind of fairs. I managed to sell two packs of Christmas cards and have gained some amazing work from my friends for free (well an art swap). I cant wait for the next one! For now I'm going to LandBaby at the Bluecoat to show Claire , who owns the shop, some of my work in case she would like to buy/ order any of my prints or cards! Which is super exciting!

Anyway for now here is our stall and my beautiful friends. I can't wait to do it all again!

Inprint Liverpool.

As you may know if you follow this blog I have some exciting news!

I will be selling at Inprint Liverpool on 22nd September and I can't wait!! This is the reason I've been so busy/ putting up so much work recently. I didn't find out till I came back off holiday (1st September) that I had actually got a table so its been a stressful few weeks. Getting images sent off to print, producing more work to sell, setting up an etsy account (!!!!) which should be up and running very soon. All at the same time as trying to pack up all my things for going back to university and doing uni work. DAMN. I've even been doing maths in the shower to sort out numbers.

So Inprint had a fair in August too but they are now doing a print exchange. We shall have the first fair in Liverpool with a few German Students and then Inprint goes over to Germany with a few of LJMU's students- I may be one! Its all about seeing other peoples work and see what they make and sell and Everyone is welcome to come and have a nose around.

The September fair is being held at the extremely cool Camp and Furnace in Liverpool (It has caravans inside, therefore very cool.) and is taking over the whole first floor. There shall be food, drinks, music and of course plenty of really cool art. So if you're in the Liverpool area or happen to be close and like good art, good people and good food then have a pop down and check it out, come say "Hi" and see whats happening in the world of Illustration/ Graphic design!!

Can't Wait!

In fine style.

On Tuesday I visited the queen's gallery at Buckingham Palace. Again I was visiting for my dissertation, I get to visit such beautiful places for it and I'm so glad that I picked what I did. Anyway I was visiting for the 'In Fine Style' exhibition which is being held till 6th October 2013. It has some truly beautiful pieces let alone its beautiful surroundings. I thoroughly recommend this exhibition I just wish  I had more time in the day to have a visit round Buckingham palace too! The photographs below are some of my favourite pieces, I was so grateful that I could photograph them as not many places allow it. So if you're in London any time soon go have a quick look and get the audio guide for some added extras!

21st Birthday Party

AGHH!! I can't believe that it is August already! How time flies. So as you can probably tell from a. the title of this blog post and b. the crazy pictures below, I had my BIRTHDAY PARTY! Typically I wouldn't have one because I'm usually on holiday or most of my friends are. Birthday in August = Birthday Party deprived childhood. As you can probably also tell from this amazing cake that I turned the old age of 21. (21 and i still have horses and cats all over my cake, BEST CAKE EVER!)

Anyway here are just a few photos from my party, I didn't take many because I was the hostess with the mostess. But I did manage to get one of myself with the amazing photo board that my mom and sister made for me! AWWWWW how sweet!

I was so tired by the end of the day all i needed was to snuggle up in my bed but we had to tidy up at about 12:30am so no sleep for me. I had such a lovely day and I'm just thankful that I have so many people who care about me. Turning 21 is going to be big but I have a bigger year coming up (i.e. 3rd year, graduation, etc.) so this year is going to be good and you would think slightly more grown up, but I'll still act like a 5 year old and wont like wine.

When this goes out (because it is a scheduled post) it will be my birthday, I shall be old. However, I shall also be watching Matilda on the West End with my family for the afternoon matinee. AND I CANT WAIT!

Sneaky Peak...

So this is a little sneaky peak at something I've been working on, and thinking of making it a bigger collection. Can you guess who it is?

My dissertation for my third year, which I've started researching over the summer, is about royal portraits. Nothing to do with illustration really but they told me to write about something I was interested in; I love history and I want the Queen to be my Grandmother, so its all good. I may do a bigger collection of Queens and maybe some kings to sell as postcards, cards and prints.
