The other Boleyn girl
Wow... I haven't posted in a WHILE! Life has been comfortable lately. Art work has been started and not finished, work has taken up most of my time. It been really hard to fit in drawing and painting and really hard to find inspiration. It has not been easy to continue being as creative since finishing university, I didn't think it would be this hard. Enough depressing graduate talk. I'm going to an open day for Camberwell masters course next month which should help me get more motivated.
Anyway, this lovely painting I did quite a while ago back in the summer, when I also did Henry VIII. Coming back to this blog, while changing all my email addresses, I notice this picture and actually; I quite like it. Im starting to work a lot more with water colour since I don't have the resources that I did at uni.
Im going to get scanning all the unfinished art work that I have in my small studio and see if i can make something/ actually use it as a final piece. So keep an eye out for all those masterpieces!

It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year!
HELLO EVERYBODY!
Its come to that time of year again where its getting colder, wetter and darker. Meaning only one thing... IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS! I have been hopeless so far and have gotten absolutely no christmas shopping done, but I have made christmas cards. This year they are all handmade using lino print techniques with stamping block letters. OH MY LORD do they take an age to do but they are just too adorable once finished. These cards are in my shop NOW! You have the choice of individual cards or packs. I'm still in the process of making more too which means some more festive lines upon the cards- not just the ones we have here.
I also still have some of last years Children's Nativity Christmas cards which are also in my shop this year. This gives you so many options. Again these are being sold as individual cards or in packs!
Head over to my Etsy Shop to see these cards and look out for some new things I will be selling.
I can't wait for this festive season and to wear a Christmas jumper.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS

The Ginger King
Henry VIII
As seen before in my other picture but this time scanned in and edited! Based on the image by Hans Holbein the younger. Recently I've really been getting in to working with gouache and mixing it up with crayons or ink. I always go by make what you are interested in.... hence the royals. Should be no surprise since I did my whole dissertation on royal portraits.

The Graduate
Thats right folks. I can no longer be classed as a student. On Thursday 17th July I graduated with a BA Honours in Graphic Design and Illustration from Liverpool John Moores university. Thursday also happened to be the hottest day of the year so far, and lets just say those gowns aren't light and breezy! I had such a lovely day and although the weather was crazy hot I'm glad it was nice as it meant we could get loads of lovely pictures outside (and it meant that my hair stayed nice too!)
I can't believe how fast those three years have gone and how much I have learnt and come on as an illustrator and designer. Looking back at some of my art foundation work almost seems comical. I only wish I could stay a student a little bit longer. I'll be continuing to draw and sell my work which i shall keep updating on here and my tumblr. POSITIVE THOUGHTS FOR THE FUTURE! GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO ARE ALSO GRADUATING THIS YEAR!

All the social media.
As some of you may have seen in my 'where else to find me' in the side bar I have added a Facebook page. Yes thats right i now have a Facebook page for all my work and updates. This will include updates in my Etsy shop, sketchbook work and daily adventures.
It is still early days for my Facebook page and I'm still getting used to posting things on there but I'm so excited for everything to get going! Keep your eyes peeled for exclusive codes for my shop or new work that I'm getting ready to sell! So please go and like my fledgling of a page and who knows where it could end up!

Football World Cup.
Yes that time has come again! The football world cup is back and its opening night. But it is not just opening night for them in Brazil; Its opening night for me too! After finishing uni I have decided to sell some original pieces and make some prints of them too. I will be selling these on my NEW SHOP!
Now you think....what does the World Cup have to do with me at all (apart from having a few teams in the family sweepstakes). Well as you may have seen before I did a project for Spiel North a few months ago; these are the original screen prints that I will be selling! At the moment i only have two up on my shop but there must be at least 40 prints. So as the World Cup tournaments go on I will be uploading many more images!
All the originals are being sold in frames and (when I get a good enough printer) the prints will have an option to be sold framed or unframed.
In addition to these football prints I am currently selling original images of the stitched faces that I also made a few months ago. (You may have seen them in this post). Again these originals are sold in frames but some sort of postcards or small prints will also be made available at a later date (probably when I have enough money!)
